I’m Ryan Ulmer — a former collegiate runner who had to figure things out the hard way.
For a long time, I didn’t even have a high school coach, so I trained myself through trial and error — reading, testing, and learning what actually worked.
By the time I made it to college, I realized how much of running success comes down to understanding your body, not just pushing harder.
I built Nightstride to give runners what I never had: structure, recovery systems, and real guidance on how to train smarter instead of just running more.
This isn’t another cookie-cutter training plan — it’s a community built to help runners make progress without burning out.
