Brett Clements is the creator of SQUAD, a guerrilla-shot docu-series chronicling Australia’s next elite swimmers as they fight to make the national team—the Dolphins and contest the 2028 and 2032 Olympic Games
Shot entirely on mobile rigs, drones, ActionCams, and a blacked-out Transit van, SQUAD is part cinema, part journalism, part myth excavation.
The project follows 48 athletes over two Olympiad cycles—some of the most talented swimmers in the country—most of whom will never make it. The system doesn’t pay them to try. SQUAD does.
The series is built around memory, voice, attrition, and the price of raw ambition. It’s not about medals. It’s about survival.
This WHOP page will host poetic video fragments, myth-layered prompts, production insights, and creator diaries as the series unfolds.
