Stuart Mack is an international award winning trumpet player, composer, and educator based in New York City. Since moving to NYC in 2016, Mack has toured across the world and played with notable groups such as the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Jihye Lee Orchestra, Darcy James Secret Society, Fluer Suele, The David Liebman Big Band, Anat Cohen Nonet, Dan Pugach Nonet, Sam Blakeslee Large Group, Scott Reeves Jazz Orchestra, Ny Afro-Bop Alliance Big Band, Anat Cohen Tentet, Manuel Valera New Cuban Express Big Band, Eyal Vilner Big Band, Mike Holober, and Remy Le Boeuf’s Assembly of Shadows. Along with touring, Mack has performed in many different situations including subbing in Broadway pit orchestras, playing in a week long run at Jazz at Lincoln Center with Brazilian guitarist, Romero Lubambo, performing at Lincoln Center with the vocal group, Duchess, as a collaboration with the Paul Taylor Dance Company, and has also received a masters degree from Manhattan School of Music. Stuart can be heard on the grammy nominated album “Bianca Reimagined” by Dan Pugach, “Infinite Connections” by Jihye Lee, “This Rock We’re On” by Mike Holober, “Or” by The Tracy Yang Jazz Orchestra, as well as the rendition of the Star Spangled Banner recorded by H.E.R. for the 2024 closing Olympics ceremony.
