Started back in 1998 developing Windows desktop apps using VB4, VB5, VB6, then eventually VB.NET MCSD in VB6, but upgraded it to .NET and MSSQL 7 to MSQL 2000 Using Microsoft Access as a front end, but mostly as a backend. SQL Server while it was v7, before they started naming it by year, i.e. "SQL Server 2000". COM, DCOM, & ActiveX controls. MCSD in VB6 Taught VB6, SQL Server as an MCT, then .NET while it was in its beta before it was released in Feb of 2001. Setting up my own classrooms and working on a team of Microsoft trainers who taught infrastructure and networking, I naturally became familiar with DNS, DHCP, Windows Server, Domain Controllers, Active Directory, and a few other related networking and IT skills. Classic ASP using both VBScript and JScript Once .NET was released, C#, ASP.NET, XML Web Services, and of course all using the SOAP protocol, all in Visual Studio .NET. Started managing dedicated servers (IIS & SQL Server) for other developers. I rescued a large church/school from their 100+ XP Home edition node network running an internet backbone through a home Linksys router. It was there that I installed and maintained a Windows 2003 domain controller, DNS, Exchange Server, IIS Server, SharePoint Server, SQL Server, and finally got that Linksys router replaced by some reputable appliance. Replaced XP Home Edition with XP Pro. Implemented network file shares and a solid backup recovery maintenance plan. Implemented a ticketing system. Set up and replaced old switches and cabling throughout the campus. Ran DotNetNuke (an open source ASP.NET project) website for the organization. Wrote a book on DotNetNuke (https://www.dnnsoftware.com/) Became a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator in MSSQL 2005 and refreshed my .NET MCSD Implemented a full SharePoint 2023 intranet and trained the organization users on how to use and maintain it for themselves. Wrote several HR systems for a large hospital using C# / ASP.NET / MSSQL. Developing on Azure Assisted network/infrastructure installing, upgrading, and migrate many IIS and SQL Servers. Continued work as a full-stack .NET developer for years before being introduced to Power Apps. Built many apps in Power Apps using Flows (now Power Automate), SharePoint, Dataverse, and MSSQL. Started freelancing on Fiverr.com with Power Apps. Started YouTube channel teaching Power Apps.
