1. Open Terminal (Cmd + Space, type "Terminal")

2. Install Homebrew: /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"

3. Install Node.js: brew install node

Windows:

1. Open PowerShell (right-click Start > Terminal)

2. Download Node.js from https://nodejs.org or run: winget install OpenJS.NodeJS

Then on both systems:

1. npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code

2. claude --version (to verify)

3. Type "claude" to start
