The 500-follower monetization playbook nobody talks about
Most creators think they need 10K followers before they can make money. That's backwards.
Here's what actually works with a tiny audience:
1. Sell before you grow. Your first 200 followers are your warmest leads. They already trust you. A simple DM asking "what's your biggest struggle with X?" opens the door to a paid solution.
2. Pick a boring offer. Forget courses and ebooks. Start with a service — audit someone's profile, write their bio, build them a content plan. Services convert 5-10x better than info products when you're small.
3. Content is a magnet, not a product. Post to attract the right people, then monetize in DMs. You don't need viral posts — you need 3-5 pieces a week that speak directly to one person's pain point.
4. Price based on outcome, not hours. "I'll help you get your first 5 clients" is worth $200. "I'll consult for 1 hour" is worth $30. Same work, different frame.
I've packaged all of this — the exact scripts, templates, and a 14-day roadmap — into a system anyone can follow. But even if you don't buy anything, try sending 5 DMs today using tip #1. You'll be surprised what happens.
