3 things every CS2 player does wrong below Faceit Level 7

After hundreds of hours coaching players across all ranks, these are the three mistakes I see every single time below Level 7:

1. You peek without a plan.

Most players just W-key into angles. Before every peek, ask: "What am I looking for?" If you don't have an answer, hold the angle instead. This alone will cut your deaths by 30%.

2. You buy utility and don't use it.

Buying smokes and flashes means nothing if they sit in your inventory. Before the round starts, assign each piece of utility a specific purpose. "This smoke is for Xbox. This flash is for peeking short." Lock it in.

3. You play the same spots every round.

Predictability kills. If you played B anchor last round, switch to A. If you keep dying from the same angle, stop going there. The best players are uncomfortable — they force themselves to rotate positions.

Fix these three things and you'll rank up faster than any aim trainer could help you. I coach Deadlock and Legion TD 2 as well — same principles apply. Awareness > mechanics at every rank.

Welcome! Here's how your coaching session works

Hey, thanks for booking a session! Here's what happens next:

  1. Drop a message in the Coaching Chat — tell me your game, rank, and what you want to work on

  2. We'll schedule a time — I'll work around your timezone

  3. Session day — we hop on Discord/screen share and grind for an hour

Games I coach:

  • 🎯 Deadlock — lane mechanics, item builds, teamfight positioning

  • 🏰 Legion TD 2 — wave management, build orders, economy optimization

  • 💥 CS2 — crosshair placement, utility usage, map control, rotations

Come prepared with replays or specific situations you struggle with — we'll get way more done. See you in the chat!
