5 meals every beginner should learn to cook (that actually taste good)

Most people think eating healthy means bland chicken and dry rice. That's why they quit after a week.

Here are 5 simple meals that changed how I think about healthy cooking:

1. One-pan lemon herb chicken + roasted veggies — Season chicken thighs with lemon, garlic, olive oil. Toss broccoli and sweet potato on the same pan. 400°F, 25 min. Done.

2. Overnight oats — Oats, Greek yogurt, milk, chia seeds, honey, berries. Mix it the night before. Wake up and eat. Zero cooking required.

3. Stir-fry with whatever you have — Protein + any vegetables + soy sauce + garlic + rice. Takes 15 min. Infinitely customizable.

4. Loaded sweet potato — Bake a sweet potato, top with black beans, avocado, salsa, and a squeeze of lime. Filling, cheap, delicious.

5. Sheet pan salmon + asparagus — Salmon fillet, asparagus, olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon. 12 minutes at 425°F. Restaurant quality at home.

None of these require fancy ingredients or chef skills. They're the kind of meals you'll actually want to make again.
