Welcome to Manual Mastery! 🚗

Congrats on taking the first step toward mastering manual driving. Here's how to get the most out of this program:

How It Works

  • The course is split into 3 days with 4 lessons each

  • Lessons unlock sequentially — complete each one before moving to the next

  • You'll earn a certificate when you finish all 12 lessons

Day 1 — Fundamentals: car components, seating, biting point, first gear

Day 2 — Real Driving: gear shifting, traffic, turns, hill starts

Day 3 — Advanced: engine braking, parking, emergency stops, rev matching

Tips for Success

  • Read each lesson carefully, then practice in a real car with a licensed driver

  • Use the Student Chat to ask questions and share your progress

  • Don't rush — muscle memory takes repetition

Let's get you driving stick. Start Day 1 now and post your progress in the chat! 💪

5 Mistakes Every Beginner Makes Learning Manual (And How to Fix Them)

Learning to drive stick? Here are the most common mistakes I see — and the fix for each one.

1. Dumping the clutch

You release too fast and the car stalls. Fix: Find the biting point first. Slowly lift until you feel the car pull, then hold it there before adding gas.

2. Riding the clutch

Keeping your foot on the clutch while driving burns it out. Fix: Once you're in gear and moving, take your foot completely off the clutch pedal.

3. Looking at the shifter

You don't need to see it. The H-pattern is the same every time. Fix: Practice shifting while parked with the engine off until it's muscle memory.

4. Skipping rev matching on downshifts

Jerky downshifts kill your momentum and wear your synchros. Fix: Blip the throttle as you release the clutch in the lower gear.

5. Panicking on hills

Everyone rolls back the first time. Fix: Use the handbrake method — hold the handbrake, find the biting point, then release the brake as you add gas.

I built a free 3-day course that walks you through all of this step by step — from your first biting point to double clutching and rev matching.
