1. Daily Lessons — A new lesson drops in the Daily Lessons feed every day. Each one takes ~15 minutes. Don't skip days.

2. Study Group — Head to the chat to practice with other students. Speaking > reading. Use it.

3. Ask questions — There are no dumb questions. If you're stuck, post it. I'll respond.

The goal is simple: by Day 30, you should be able to hold a real conversation in Spanish. Not perfect grammar. Real communication.

Here's the pattern I see over and over:

Someone downloads Duolingo, grinds for 2 weeks, hits a 14-day streak, and then... nothing. Life happens. The streak breaks. They feel guilty. They quit.

The problem isn't motivation. It's method.

Apps gamify learning so well that you feel productive without actually being productive. You can match "el gato" to "the cat" 500 times and still freeze up when a Spanish speaker says "¿de dónde eres?"

What actually works:

1. Learn the 300 most-used words first. 300 words cover ~65% of everyday Spanish conversation. Not 3,000. Not textbook vocabulary lists. Just the 300 that matter.

2. Practice output from Day 1. Don't wait until you're "ready" to speak. You'll never feel ready. Start with simple sentences: "Quiero agua." "Me llamo [name]." "No entiendo." That's speaking.

3. Make it social. Solo study burns out fast. When you have other beginners holding you accountable, you actually show up.
