Everyone told me orgo was a GPA killer. They weren't wrong — until I changed how I studied.
The problem with most students isn't effort. It's that they re-read notes and highlight textbooks like it's 2005. That doesn't work for hard STEM courses.
What actually works:
Active recall — Instead of re-reading, test yourself constantly. Turn every page of notes into questions and force your brain to retrieve the answers.
Spaced repetition — Don't cram. Review material at increasing intervals. Day 1, Day 3, Day 7, Day 14. Your brain remembers what it's forced to recall multiple times.
Explain it to someone dumb — If you can't teach a concept simply, you don't actually understand it. Write out explanations in plain English before moving on.
