The #1 reason first-time founders quit before their first sale

I coach aspiring entrepreneurs launching their first online business, and the pattern is always the same: people don't fail because their idea is bad. They fail because they spend 3 months 'building' before ever asking someone to pay them.

Here's the fix that actually works — validate before you build:

  1. Write the offer in one sentence. Who is it for, what do they get, what do they pay. If you can't do this in one sentence, it's not ready to sell.

  2. Get 5 people to say yes to paying BEFORE the product is done. DMs, friends-of-friends, a simple landing page — doesn't matter. If nobody says yes, the offer is wrong, not the marketing.

  3. Charge from day one. Free 'beta testers' don't tell you the truth. Paying customers do.

Most people build the whole thing first and ask for money last — completely backwards. Flip it, and you'll know within 2 weeks if you have something real.

Happy to break down anyone's offer in the comments if you're stuck.
