Your car, laptop, and cap are worth more than you think — here's the math
Most people ignore the ad space they already own. Some numbers worth knowing:
Car wraps/decals: full wrap advertisers historically pay $200-$400/mo for a daily driver in a decent-traffic city. A small door decal pays less but needs zero commitment.
Laptop lid stickers: coffee shops and coworking spaces are full of laptops. A logo sticker on a laptop that travels with you daily is basically a walking impression counter — advertisers pay for consistent visibility, not virality.
Caps/hats: the lowest barrier to entry. If you wear a cap daily anyway, getting paid $15-20/mo to swap it for a branded one is free money.
The advertiser side of this math is even simpler: traditional out-of-home ads (billboards, transit) cost thousands and can't be targeted person-by-person. Renting space on items real people already use daily is cheaper, hyper-local if you want it, and easy to swap out monthly.
We built RentMySpace to make this two-sided trade actually work — advertisers pick a tier (cap/laptop/car), we match with a verified host, ship the kit, and send monthly proof-of-placement photos. Hosts get paid for stuff they already own and use.
