The reason your ADHD 'systems' keep failing (it's not you)
Every productivity system I tried for years was built by and for neurotypical brains: fixed schedules, morning routines, habit streaks. I'd last 4 days, miss one day, feel like garbage, and quit the whole thing. That cycle IS the burnout — not the tasks themselves.
What actually changed things for me wasn't a better planner. It was three shifts:
Momentum over willpower. Instead of forcing myself to start with the hardest task, I start with whatever has the lowest activation energy — even if it's unrelated. Motion creates motion for ADHD brains.
Systems that survive a missed day. If one skipped day breaks the whole system, it's a bad system. I redesigned everything around 'what's the minimum viable version of this' so a bad day doesn't mean starting over.
Zero shame checkpoints. No streaks, no guilt language. Just 'did I do more than nothing today.' That's enough some days.
I turned this into a structured guide + community for ADHD adults drowning in daily life — chores, routines, self-care — because I couldn't find anything that wasn't just 'try harder but organized.' If burnout from forcing yourself into systems that aren't built for your brain sounds familiar, you're not broken. The system was.
