Welcome in.
If you're here, you probably have a bathroom shelf with five or six half-used bottles on it. Something worked for a week, then you broke out, so you bought something new. Then you did it again.
That cycle is the reason most routines never get a real chance. Most acne treatments need somewhere around eight to twelve weeks of steady use before you can judge them, and very few people stick with one thing that long. Usually it isn't because they're lazy. It's because a bad week feels like proof that nothing is working.
This page is about breaking that loop. Picking a simple routine, sticking with it long enough to know if it works, and not panic buying every time your skin has a rough few days.
A few things to know:
This isn't medical advice, and I'm not a dermatologist. If your acne is painful, cystic, leaving scars, or not improving after a few months of consistent effort, please see one. Prescription options exist for a reason.
Start with the guide, then post your current routine below if you want. Keep it short: what you're using, how long you've used it, and what you've tried before. Seeing what everyone else has cycled through helps more than you'd think.
