Why 90% of solo e-com ad accounts die from creative fatigue (not targeting)
Ran ads for my own store for 3 years before I realized the real bottleneck wasn't targeting, bidding, or pixel setup — it was creative fatigue. Facebook and TikTok both punish you hard once CTR drops, and if you're a solo store owner without a designer on call, you're stuck running the same 3 creatives until ROAS dies.
The fix isn't "post more often." It's having a system for rotating fresh hooks and formats before fatigue sets in — usually every 10-14 days for cold traffic.
A few things that actually moved the needle for me:
UGC-style hooks beat polished ads almost every time for cold audiences
Swapping the first 3 seconds monthly outperforms redesigning the whole creative
Templates > from-scratch design — consistency in format lets you isolate what's actually working
I ended up building out a system of done-for-you creative drops for exactly this reason — started AdVault to share it with other solo store owners who don't have time to babysit a designer every week. Happy to answer questions on ad creative strategy either way.
