Copying Polymarket wallets: size first, stop second, ego never
Most people copy the wallet with the biggest week and then size it like it's their own conviction. That's how you turn someone else's 12% edge into your 40% drawdown.
Three rules I actually run:
Rank by PnL, not volume. A wallet that turned over $1M to make $8k is not a leader. It is a market maker with a hobby.
Your size is not their size. If they buy $80k of "Over 8.5" at 48¢, you buy 1–2% of your bankroll at that same price. The fill is the signal. The notional is yours.
Pre-commit the stop. 8–12% off entry is enough to be wrong without being ruined. If the copy is down that much, you are out — even if the wallet is still holding. Their bankroll is not your bankroll.
Do that for a month before you touch a third wallet. One clean book beats five half-watched ones.
