I ranked 25 industries by AI automation profitability. Here's what I found.

Spent the last 3 months tracking which niches are actually profitable for AI automation agencies in 2026. Not "what sounds good on YouTube" — actual data from outreach response rates, average contract values, and client retention.

Top 5 niches right now:

  1. Property management companies — They run on repetitive tasks (tenant comms, maintenance requests, rent reminders). Average starting contract: $1,200/mo. Low competition because most AAA guys target e-commerce.

  1. Med spas and aesthetic clinics — Appointment no-shows cost them thousands. An AI appointment setter + review responder combo closes at ~18% outreach rate. They pay fast and stay long.

  1. B2B SaaS companies (Series A-B) — They have budget but no ops bandwidth. Lead scoring + outbound automation is an easy sell at $2,000-3,500/mo.

  1. Regional insurance agencies — Absolutely drowning in manual follow-ups. Most haven't heard of n8n or Make.com. You look like a wizard showing them basic automations.

  1. Recruiting/staffing firms — They live and die by candidate outreach volume. AI cold emailer + LinkedIn scraper is a no-brainer for them.

Worst niches (avoid these):

  • Restaurants (tiny budgets, high churn)

  • Real estate agents (oversaturated, everyone targets them)

  • "Local businesses" generically (too vague to build systems around)

The full breakdown with 25 industries, response rates, contract values, and difficulty scores is in Agency OS. No course — just the spreadsheet, outreach scripts, and automation templates you need to start closing.
