@bobbyneishman·Sep 21By the time an industry shift shows up on the news, the businesses who saw it coming already moved.
Last stop in the AI research desk series. Day five, spotting industry shifts early.
Most of us catch a shift late. A new competitor launches, a platform changes its rules, a tool comes out that makes part of your offer old news. We hear about it from a slow month or a customer mentioning it, instead of catching it while there was still time to do something about it.
The fix. Have AI scan what is actually changing in your industry right now, not a vague feeling that something is off, so you can move while it is still early instead of reacting after everyone else already has.
Try this prompt.
"Search for the most significant recent news, launches, or changes in [your industry] from the last 30 days. Tell me the 3 most likely to affect a business like mine, why each one matters, and one thing I could do this month in response to each."
Spot one shift a season before your competitors catch on, a new channel opening up, a rule quietly tightening, a tool making part of your offer outdated, and you get to be the one adjusting first instead of scrambling to catch up.
That closes the AI research desk. Five stops. Competitor pricing, customer feedback, testing demand, negotiation prep, and now industry shifts.
Which of these five do you actually do already, and which one have you never once tried?
@bobbyneishman·Sep 20Most people walk into a negotiation with nothing but a gut feeling, and the other side can usually tell.
Fourth stop in the AI research desk series. Today, negotiation prep before you sign anything new.
A vendor renewal, a new contractor, a client asking for a discount, a lease you are about to renew. Every one of these is a negotiation, even when it does not feel like one. Most of us walk in without knowing what is normal for a deal like this, so we either cave fast or push back with nothing behind it.
The fix. Have AI do the homework first, typical pricing, likely objections, and your strongest counter, so you walk in with a real position instead of a guess.
Try this prompt.
"I am about to negotiate [what you are negotiating, with who]. Here is what they have offered or asked for: [fill in]. Here is what I know about typical pricing or terms for something like this: [fill in, or say you are not sure]. Give me 3 things I could push back on, the strongest point in my favor, and exactly what to say if they will not move on price."
Push a $2,000 a month vendor contract down by just 10 percent and that is $200 a month, close to $2,400 a year, for one conversation you spent five minutes prepping for.
What is the next thing you are about to sign or renegotiate? Tell me below and tomorrow I will close out this series with spotting industry shifts early, seeing the next change before everyone else does.
Next up (Arc H roadmap): Day 5 spotting industry shifts early. Last stop on this one.
@bobbyneishman·Sep 19The most expensive part of a new offer is not the launch. It is the weeks you spend building it before you know anyone actually wants it.
Third stop in the AI research desk series. Today, testing demand before you build.
Most of us get an idea, get excited, and go straight to building. A new service, a course, a product line. Weeks go into it before a single stranger ever sees it. By the time you post it and wait for a reaction, you have already spent the expensive part, whether anyone wants it or not.
The fix. Have AI help you build the cheapest possible test first, a real pitch and a few pointed questions, so you find out if people actually want this before you spend a single hour building it.
Try this prompt.
"Here is an idea I am considering building: [describe it]. Write me a short pitch, 3 to 4 sentences, that I could post or send to real people this week to gauge interest. Then give me 3 questions to ask anyone who responds, so I can tell the difference between someone being polite and someone who would actually pay for this."
A business owner I worked with almost spent a month building a course before testing anything. One pitch post and a handful of honest replies told her the price was wrong, before she wrote a single lesson.
Building takes weeks. A real test takes an afternoon. Either way you come out ahead. You build with actual confidence, or you save the weeks entirely.
Is there something you have been sitting on, afraid to build in case nobody wants it? Tell me below and tomorrow I will get into negotiation prep, using AI before you sign anything new.
Next up (Arc H roadmap): Day 4 negotiation prep before you sign anything new, Day 5 spotting industry shifts early. Last stop on this one.
@bobbyneishman·Sep 18Most business owners can quote you their best review from memory. Almost none of them can tell you what shows up most often across all of them.
Second stop in the AI research desk series. Today, turning customer feedback into your next move.
Feedback comes in scattered. A review here, a support ticket there, a comment on a post, a passing line in a DM. Read one at a time, none of it feels like enough to act on. Read together, a real pattern shows up fast, the same request or the same complaint, again and again. Almost nobody stops to actually put it all in one place and look.
The fix. Have AI pull every piece of feedback you have into one spot and tell you what actually keeps coming up, so your next move is based on what customers are really asking for, not just the loudest one you remember.
Try this prompt.
"Here is a batch of customer feedback, reviews, support messages, comments, whatever you have: [paste it all]. Group this into themes. Tell me the 3 requests or complaints that show up most often, and for each one tell me whether it points to a quick fix, a new offer, or something bigger worth building."
Even one theme that shows up ten times and you never noticed is a decision you can act on this week instead of guessing at your next move, and it already comes pre validated by the people asking for it.
What is the one thing customers keep asking you for that you have never actually built? Tell me below and tomorrow I will get into testing demand before you build anything at all.
Next up (Arc H roadmap): Day 3 testing demand before you build, Day 4 negotiation prep before you sign anything new, Day 5 spotting industry shifts early.

@bobbyneishman·Sep 17Most business owners set a price once and then never check what anyone else is charging again.
Starting something new today. The AI research desk, using AI to do the digging you never have time for so the big calls stop being guesses. First stop, competitor pricing and offers.
Prices move even when you are not watching. A competitor adds a tier, bundles in something extra, or quietly raises their rate, and you find out from a customer instead of finding out first. Meanwhile you are still charging what felt right a year or two ago.
The fix. Have AI pull together what a handful of competitors actually charge and offer right now, so your price is a decision, not something frozen in time.
Try this prompt.
"Here are 3 to 5 competitors in my space: [list names or websites]. Based on what is publicly available about their pricing and what is included at each tier, compare it to what I charge and offer: [describe your pricing]. Tell me where I am priced too low, too high, or missing something they offer that I do not."
Even one gap, a tier you never built or a price sitting 20 percent under market, is money on the table you can go get without finding a single new customer.
Do you actually know what your closest competitor charges right now, or are you guessing? Tell me below and tomorrow I will get into turning the customer feedback you already have into your next move.
Next up (Arc H roadmap): Day 2 turning customer feedback into your next move, Day 3 testing demand before you build, Day 4 negotiation prep before you sign anything new, Day 5 spotting industry shifts early.
@bobbyneishman·Sep 16The businesses posting every single day are not working harder than you. Most of them sat down once, wrote a month of posts in one sitting, and just hit publish on a schedule from there.
Last stop in the AI attention engine series. Day five, batching a month of content in one sitting.
Posting once and going quiet for two weeks is the fastest way to disappear from a feed. But sitting down fresh every morning to think of something to say gets exhausting fast, so most of us just quietly stop showing up. The fix is not posting more in the moment. It is doing the thinking once, then spreading it out.
The fix. Have AI take what you already know and turn it into a real month of content in one sitting, so showing up daily stops depending on how inspired you feel that morning.
Try this prompt.
"Here is what I do and who I help: [describe your business]. Here are 5 to 10 things I know well or get asked about often: [list them]. Turn this into 20 short social post ideas, each with a hook line and 2 to 3 sentences of value, that I could post one a day for most of a month."
Write it once on a slow afternoon and a month of consistent posting is already locked in, instead of staring at a blank page every morning wondering what to say today.
That closes out the AI attention engine. Five stops. Turning praise into content, getting found on Google, cold outreach, referrals, and now batching it all so you actually stay visible.
Which one of these five are you going to actually set up this week?
@bobbyneishman·Sep 15Referrals are the cheapest customer acquisition channel that exists, and most businesses run it by accident instead of on purpose.
Fourth stop in the AI attention engine series. Today, building a referral system.
Most of us wait for a referral to just happen. Someone loves the work, casually mentions us to a friend, and if we are lucky that turns into a new customer. Nothing is wrong with that, except it only works when someone remembers to do it, at exactly the right moment, without you ever asking.
The fix. Have AI write the actual ask, so referrals turn from a hope into a repeatable step at the moment a customer is happiest with you.
Try this prompt.
"Here is what I sell and who my ideal customer looks like: [describe it]. Write me a short, natural message I can send to a happy customer asking if they know anyone else who could use this. Make it easy for them to say yes with zero awkwardness, and include one simple incentive idea I could offer for a successful referral."
Send that message right after a project wraps or a good review comes in, when the good feeling is freshest, and a habit that used to depend on luck turns into something you actually do every time.
Do you already ask happy customers for referrals, or does it only happen when they think of it themselves? Tell me below and tomorrow I will close out this series with batching a month of content in one sitting.
Next up (Arc G roadmap): Day 5 batching a month of content in one sitting. Last stop on this one.
