Why your PC is slower than it should be (and how to fix it)
Most people have no idea their PC is running at 50-70% of its actual capability.
Here's what's happening behind the scenes:
Startup bloat — You probably have 30+ programs loading when you boot up. Half of them you don't even use. Each one eats RAM and CPU cycles before you even open a game or app.
Power plan settings — Windows defaults to "Balanced" mode which literally throttles your CPU to save power. On a desktop, that's just leaving performance on the table.
Background services — Telemetry, indexing, update checks — Windows is constantly doing stuff in the background that competes with whatever you're actually trying to do.
Visual effects — Animations, transparency, shadows — they look nice but they cost frames. On budget hardware, this is the difference between 60 and 90 FPS.
I've spent 2-3 years testing and refining a system that addresses all of this. Not sketchy registry hacks — real, tested optimizations that I use on my own machines daily.
The difference is night and day. Smoother gameplay, faster renders, quicker boot times.
