Most student resumes fail because they list duties, not proof
If your bullet says “Responsible for social media” you are invisible.
Hiring managers skim for three things in 8 seconds: the role you want, a number, and a tool they already use. “Grew Instagram” is not a number. “Posted 4x a week and moved engagement from 1.2% to 3.8% in one semester using Later + Canva” is.
ChatGPT will not save a vague resume. It will just make the vagueness sound professional. The fix is boring:
Pick one job. Paste the JD.
For every bullet, force: verb + what + tool + result.
If you don’t have a metric, estimate from what you actually did (hours, people, %, $) — or delete the bullet.
Then generate. Then cut 30%.
That’s the whole product I built for students and job seekers who are already using ChatGPT but still sending the same generic resume to 80 listings. One tailored application beats twenty identical ones.
