The 3 shot-form flaws that show up in almost every video I analyze

I've been building an AI tool that breaks down basketball shooting form frame-by-frame, and after running it on hundreds of clips, the same 3 issues keep showing up — at every age and skill level:

1. Elbow drift. Most shooters think their elbow is "under the ball" but it's actually flared 10-15° out to the side. You can't see this in real time — it only shows up on frame-by-frame video. It's the #1 cause of inconsistent left-right misses.

2. Rushed release. The gap between the ball reaching set point and leaving the hand is almost always shorter than it should be, especially under pressure. Slowing this down by even a few frames tightens up arc consistency a ton.

3. Guide-hand interference. The off-hand is supposed to fall away cleanly at release. In most clips, it's still making contact with the ball as it leaves the shooting hand, which pushes shots off-line without the shooter ever noticing.

None of these are things you can self-diagnose by feel — your brain doesn't process the mechanics fast enough in real time. You need to see the frames.

If you want a free breakdown of your own shot, drop a comment — happy to run a few and share what I see.
