The AI web design space is oversaturated — here's why I still made $2k my first week

Everyone and their mom is building websites with AI right now. That's just a fact.

So why did I still make $2,000 in my first week doing it?

Because most people in this space are doing it wrong. They watched one YouTube video, bought one $997 course from some guru, and now they're cold DMing business owners trying to charge $5,000 for a site they built in 20 minutes. And they're wondering why nobody's buying.

Here's the reality nobody wants to hear: the $5,000 high-ticket web design job for minimal work doesn't exist. Not when you're starting out. Not when the market is this competitive. The gurus selling that dream are making their money from selling courses, not from building websites.

What actually works is the opposite approach:

1. Build a better product for less money. I don't charge $5k and deliver garbage. I charge $500-$1,500 and deliver something that genuinely looks like a $3,000 site. Clients notice the difference. They refer their friends. They come back for more.

2. Win on volume, not fantasy pricing. One $500 site per week = $2,000/month. Two per week = $4,000. Scale to 3 per week with better systems and you're clearing $6,000-$8,000. That's real math, not guru math.

3. Put in the time upfront. I spent my first few days learning the tools inside and out. I built 5 sites for free just to get my portfolio right. I walked into local businesses and pitched face to face. Nobody handed me anything.

The space being oversaturated is actually a good thing if you're willing to be better than the noise. Most people quit after week two when they realize it's actual work.

I built a full course at Isostatic Studios breaking down the exact system — every tool, every outreach template, every pricing strategy. But the mindset shift above is honestly 80% of it. Stop chasing easy money. Start building a real skill.
