Why your back hurts (it's probably not what you think)

Most people blame their back pain on a bad mattress, a weak core, or "getting older." But the #1 cause of chronic upper and lower back pain in people under 50 is something way simpler:

Your posture has silently deteriorated from years of sitting.

Here's what happens: When you sit hunched at a desk for 8+ hours a day, your chest muscles shorten, your upper back muscles weaken, and your spine gradually curves forward. Your body literally adapts to the wrong position.

The fix isn't complicated — but it does take consistency:

  1. Retrain your postural muscles. A corrector worn 2-3 hours daily physically holds your shoulders back and teaches your muscles where they should be. After 3-4 weeks, they stay there on their own.

  1. Decompress your spine. Foam rolling your thoracic spine (upper back) for 5 minutes before bed counteracts the compression from sitting all day.

  1. Set hourly reminders. Until good posture is automatic, set a phone alarm every hour to check: are your shoulders back? Is your chin tucked?

I've seen thousands of people go from chronic pain to standing taller in 30 days with these three things. It's not complicated — it's just consistency.
