Welcome to AlphaXIQ: Getting Started
Welcome to AlphaXIQ.
This community is built around data, strategy, and execution. We cover sports and prediction markets with a focus on process: how you size, how you measure, and how you stay disciplined when the board moves.

Closing line value (CLV)
CLV is the gap between the price you took and the closing price. If you consistently beat the close, your process has an edge. If you don't, you are mostly paying juice.
How to track it:
Log every bet: sport, market, your price, stake, and timestamp.
Record the closing line for that same market.
Convert both prices to implied probability (or cents on prediction markets).
CLV = your implied edge vs the close. Positive CLV is the target. One result does not prove much. A sample of 50+ bets starts to tell you if you are actually beating the market.
Bankroll sizing
Edge without sizing still blows up accounts.
Define a bankroll that is money you can lose without changing how you live.
Size small: 0.5% to 1% of bankroll per play is a sane default while you are building data. 2%+ is aggressive.
Never chase. A losing day does not raise unit size.
Recalculate units weekly, not after every swing.
Track CLV and units in the same sheet. That is how you separate luck from process.
