Build a clean 9:16 video from your own short script. Shotcraft is an editable Python source kit that renders a 1080×1920 H.264 MP4 with a title and timed caption cards, plus matching SRT and JSON timeline files.
Version 1.2 adds adjustable reading speed and minimum card duration: use --wpm and --min-card-seconds from the CLI without editing Python. Both a 10-second default sample and a faster 6.2-second sample are included.
You receive the source, setup guide, commercial-use license for rendered outputs, automated tests, and real rendered samples. Run it locally with Python 3.10+, Pillow, and FFmpeg with libx264. Customize the typography and layout in code.
The included renderer uses static text cards and has no audio. AI writing, AI voice or image generation, footage, automatic posting, and hosted rendering are not included. Source resale or redistribution is not licensed. Review your text and timing before publishing your own video.
