A store page for a $15 a month product showed a struck-through $18.75 and a “Save 20%” badge. The product had never been sold at $18.75, or at all. The storefront computed it as price divided by 0.8, and it could not be switched off. Under the EU Price Indication Directive as amended by the Omnibus Directive, a struck-through reference price must be the lowest price actually applied in the preceding 30 days. Taking the product off sale did not take it off sale: after archiving and two hides, a logged-out request still returned a page that issued keys.
