Aslan Jewelry Atelier

This grouping consists of a pair of sculptural dangle earrings. They are not identical, and they are not intended to be. Each piece was constructed by hand using intricate macramé knotting techniques to cradle shimmering pearls and support a dense bouquet of frosted flowers. The works are related by their vibrant crimson cord, high-luster pearls, and the heavy botanical clustering at the base rather than by mirrored repetition.

Process & intent
These pieces were made slowly, one knot at a time, as part of a personal making practice that explores the intersection of textile art and traditional jewelry. The process is intentionally non-industrial, prioritizing the organic tension of the hand-woven cord over mechanical uniformity. Similar floral components may appear in other works, but the specific architecture of the knots and the way the blossoms cluster is unique to this pair. This duo reflects a philosophy of tactile richness—a series of decisions made with the same tools and thread, but resulting in two unique, blossoming forms.
