5 Things Every Golfer Over 40 Should Be Doing Off the Course

Most guys over 40 lose strokes not because their swing gets worse — but because their body can't keep up with what their brain knows.

Here's what I've seen separate the guys who are still competing from the ones watching from the clubhouse:

1. Hip mobility work, 10 minutes daily. Your swing speed is directly tied to hip rotation. Tight hips = lost yards. Simple 90/90 stretches and pigeon poses will add distance back.

2. Grip strength training. As we age, grip is one of the first things to go. Farmer carries and dead hangs 3x/week. Your short game will thank you.

3. Zone 2 cardio. Walking 18 doesn't count if you're riding a cart. 150 minutes/week of heart-rate-controlled cardio keeps your energy consistent through the back nine.

4. A real investing strategy, not just "set and forget." The guys playing the best golf are also the ones who aren't stressed about money. Having a clear plan for your portfolio removes mental clutter on the course.

5. Community. The lone wolf thing stops working after 40. Surround yourself with guys who are pushing — in fitness, in business, on the course. Iron sharpens iron.

That's what we're building at At the Turn — a place for men 40+ who refuse to coast. Golf, fitness, investing, and the good life.
