The 3 Things Holding Most Beginners Back in the Gym
After years of coaching, I see the same three mistakes killing progress for beginners. Every single time.
1. Program hopping. You do a random workout you found on TikTok Monday, a different one Wednesday, and skip Friday because you're "not feeling it." There's no progression, no structure, and no results. Pick one program and run it for 12 weeks minimum. That's how adaptation works.
2. Ego loading. Nobody cares how much you bench. Bad form at heavy weight = injuries + zero muscle growth. Drop the weight 20%, slow down the reps, and actually feel the muscle work. Your joints will thank you in 10 years.
3. No accountability. The gym is easy to skip when nobody notices. The people who transform their bodies have someone — a coach, a partner, a community — holding them to the standard. You need skin in the game.
If you're serious about building a body you're proud of and you want real coaching (not a generic PDF), my 1-on-1 program is open. Personalized training, weekly check-ins, and direct access to me.
No fluff. Just results.
