Most people apply lipliner first, then lipstick or gloss on top. That's fine — but if you want colour that genuinely lasts 8+ hours without touch-ups, flip the order.

Here's what I do:

1. Exfoliate your lips the night before (sugar + honey works)

2. Apply a thin layer of lip tint first and let it set for 60 seconds

3. Then line and fill with your matte lipliner on top

4. Blot once with tissue, reapply one more layer of liner

The tint acts as a stain underneath, so even when the liner fades throughout the day, you still have colour. No patchiness, no weird fading around the edges.
