A mix needs the parts separated. Handed a two-track — beat and vocal already bounced together — there is no way to move the kick without moving the vocal with it, and what you get back is loudness rather than a mix. If you leased a beat without trackouts we will say so before taking the job, because charging for a mix that cannot be done properly is not a service.
