Took me a while to figure out how to use AI in production without sounding like everyone else.

Here's what actually works:

1. Use AI for the parts you hate, not the parts you love

I love sound design, I hate mixing stems for hours. Let AI handle repetitive processing — spend your time crafting sounds.

2. Treat AI-generated elements as raw material

Run a Suno output through your own chain. Chop it up. Layer it. The output shouldn't sound like Suno. It should sound like you.

3. Use AI to break your habits

The best thing AI has done for my workflow is forced me out of my go-to patterns. Feed it a weird prompt, take the weirdest result, and build around it. That's where new sounds come from.
