The 3 fulfillment mistakes killing solo dropshippers' margins

Spent the last stretch building automation for dropshippers, and the same 3 fulfillment mistakes show up over and over:

1. Manual order acceptance creates a bottleneck. If you're checking a dashboard once or twice a day to approve orders, you're adding hours of delay before the order even reaches your supplier. Customers notice. Refund requests spike after 48h of silence.

2. Copy-pasting order details into supplier portals introduces errors. Wrong SKU, wrong quantity, wrong address — every manual re-entry is a chance to mess up an order you already got paid for. That's a refund AND a lost customer.

3. Shipping confirmation lag kills trust. If tracking doesn't reach the customer within a day of the order being placed with your supplier, you'll get chargebacks even on orders that are shipping just fine.

The fix isn't "work faster" — it's removing yourself from the loop entirely for the parts that don't need judgment: accept → place → confirm shipping. That's exactly the fulfillment pipeline I've been building at Billie Jean — happy to share what I've learned if you're running into any of these.
