Most first digital products fail for one reason
You're still in a job. You have a skill. You've bookmarked forty threads on "how to sell digital products." None of them tell you what to sell, to whom, at what price, this week.
The pattern I keep seeing: people skip the offer. They design a logo, pick a platform, dump everything they know into a 60-page "guide." Then nobody buys, because nobody was looking for that.
A product is not your knowledge in a PDF. It's one outcome, for one person, at a price they can pay without a committee.
Three filters:
Can you name the buyer in one sentence without saying "anyone who wants to make money"?
Can they get the result without you on a call?
Would they pay for it tomorrow — not "someday when I launch"?
If any of those is a no, you don't have a product yet. You have a hobby with a Canva cover.
That's the whole first problem. Everything else is packaging and distribution.
