5 things every local service site needs

Online booking, not a contact form. Deposits collected at booking so the flakes filter themselves out. Pricing logic that matches the trade, a detailer prices by vehicle and a plumber by service. An automated review ask after the job. One CTA repeated everywhere. Most local sites have none of these, which is why the owner thinks websites don't work.

Close on the call, collect on the call

"Sounds good, send me the invoice" is where deals go to die. If they're ready, take payment while you're still on the phone. Deposit link, card, done. Everyday someone lets a hot prospect hang up unpaid and then spends two weeks chasing a ghost. The yes is real for about ten minutes. Act inside them.

What premium actually gets you

The full A to Z client delivery tutorial. Weekly site teardowns. Breakdown boards on outreach, closing, pricing, and client management, and members vote on which one gets built next. Plus the premium channels where you can ask about your specific situation instead of guessing. It's $20/mo, which is less than one hour at the rate this stuff teaches you to charge. whop.com/blueprintweb

Animate moments, not everything

Fade up on scroll on every single element is the new Comic Sans. When everything moves, nothing means anything. Pick the moments, the hero headline, the CTA, maybe the process steps, and let the rest just be there. Restraint reads as expensive. Motion everywhere reads as a template someone left on default.

When a client disappears mid project

They go quiet for two weeks and come back expecting you to sprint. Put a pause clause in the contract. No response for 7 days, project pauses, and restarting has a fee. Sounds harsh until you've had three stalled projects eating your calendar at once. The clause isn't punishment, it's the only thing that keeps their urgency matching yours.

How we actually price

Cheap entry tier for site plus hosting. A standard monthly tier that adds reviews, basic CRM, and Google Business management. Custom builds priced in the thousands with a real retainer behind them. The point isn't the numbers, it's the shape. Monthly income under everything, hard boundaries on what each tier includes, and anything outside scope bills hourly. Copy the shape before you copy the prices.

Design by committee kills the site

Five stakeholders, five opinions, zero decisions. The logo gets bigger, then smaller, then bigger. Before the project starts, get one named decision maker in writing. Feedback can come from anywhere but approval comes from one person. Sure it feels awkward to ask for, but it's a lot less awkward than round nine of revisions.

We tear down a site every week

SITE OF THE WEEK inside premium. One named site, why it works, what to steal, what to skip. Not vibes, actual mechanics you can lift into client work the same day. A recent one covered an auction house build with a scroll driven bidding sequence and a status rail that sells urgency without a single popup. $20/mo gets you every past teardown plus everything coming. whop.com/blueprintweb

Personalization is one sentence

You don't need a paragraph of research. One line proving you actually looked. "Your booking page 404s on mobile" beats three paragraphs about their brand story. Find the thing costing them money, name it, offer the fix. That's the whole message. Everything past that is you talking yourself out of the reply.

Fake trusted-by rows fool nobody

A gray logo strip of companies that never heard of you is not social proof, it's a confession. Same with stock handshake photos and made up stats. If you're new, show the work. One real project shot well beats twelve fake badges. Local business owners are better at smelling fake than any designer gives them credit for.
