The 3 things I wish someone told me before my first day at the gym

I spent my first 6 months in the gym doing everything wrong. Random exercises, no plan, ego lifting with terrible form.

Here's what actually matters when you're starting out:

1. You don't need a complicated program.

Pick 5-6 compound movements (squat, bench, deadlift, row, overhead press, pull-up). Do them 3x a week. Add a little weight each session. That's it. The fancy stuff comes later.

2. Nutrition is simpler than Instagram makes it look.

Eat enough protein (0.7-1g per pound of bodyweight). Eat mostly whole foods. Don't starve yourself. You're building something — you need fuel.

3. The first 3 months are about learning, not gains.

Your body is adapting to a new stimulus. You'll be sore. Your lifts will feel awkward. That's normal. The people who quit are the ones who expected a transformation in week 2.

If this resonates, I created Body Blueprint specifically for people in this phase. Weekly structured plans, a community of beginners, and zero BS.
