The 3 body signals empathetic women ignore (until they can't)

Most empathetic women I work with don't come to me because of "stress." They come because something in their body keeps showing up — a tightness that won't release, a heaviness that returns every morning, a pain that doctors can't explain.

Here's what I've learned after years of coaching women through this:

Your body isn't broken. It's storing something.

There are 3 signals empathetic women consistently overlook:

1. The recurring physical sensation that has no medical explanation

You've had the tests. Everything comes back normal. But the sensation — the jaw tension, the chest tightness, the gut knot — it keeps returning. This isn't random. Your body is trying to complete something it never got to finish.

2. Emotional flooding that seems "out of proportion"

You cry at a commercial. You feel rage at a minor inconvenience. Someone else's pain hits you like it's your own. This isn't you being "too sensitive." Your nervous system is running on a backlog of unprocessed activation.

3. The exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix

You rest, but you don't recover. The fatigue isn't physical — it's the cost of your body holding tension that was never meant to be permanent. Your system is spending enormous energy keeping things contained.

---

The pattern underneath all three: your body absorbed experiences — often other people's — that it was never given space to release.

The path forward isn't more management. It's learning to listen to what your body is actually asking for, and giving it permission to settle.

If any of this resonates, that's not a coincidence. That's your body recognizing the truth.

I run a 5-week coaching program called Body Quiet specifically for empathetic women ready to move past symptom management. Check it out if you're ready to let your body be quiet again.
