Your jaw is clenched right now. Here's what your body is trying to tell you.
Read that title and check.
Seriously — unclench your jaw. Drop your shoulders. Soften your hands.
Most women I work with don't realize they're holding tension until someone points it out. And by then, they've been clenching, bracing, and tightening for hours. Sometimes days.
Here's what nobody tells you about stress:
It doesn't start in your mind. It shows up in your body first.
That tight neck after a meeting? Stress. The headache that "comes from nowhere" every evening? Stress. The jaw ache you blamed on grinding your teeth? Also stress — your body bracing for impact all day long.
And here's the kicker — most stress relief advice assumes you have silence, space, and 20 minutes to spare. Meditation apps. Quiet rooms. Deep breathing exercises.
But you're in back-to-back meetings. You're on a loud commute. You're making dinner while the kids are melting down. You don't have silence. You have chaos.
So what actually works?
Three things I've found that help overwhelmed women reset — without needing an app or a quiet room:
Notice earlier. Most women catch stress at a 9/10. If you can notice it at a 4, you have options. A simple body scan checklist (jaw, shoulders, hands, breath) takes 10 seconds.
Choose a micro-reset. Not a 20-minute session — a 60-second physical reset. Press your palms together for 5 seconds and release. Push your tongue to the roof of your mouth and let it drop. These break the tension loop.
Track what triggers you. Not journaling your feelings — literally tracking which situations make your body tighten. Meetings? Commutes? Evening screen time? Once you see the pattern, you stop being blindsided by it.
I built the Body Stress Reset Kit around exactly this framework. Worksheets, trackers, reset cards, and SOPs designed for real life — not ideal conditions.
If your body has been screaming and you've been ignoring it, this is your sign to start listening.
