The 5 business courses every college student struggles with (and how to actually pass them)
If you're a business/econ major, you've probably hit at least one of these walls:
1. Financial Accounting — Debits, credits, T-accounts… it's a foreign language until it clicks. The trick? Don't memorize formulas. Learn the logic of why things balance.
2. Microeconomics — Supply and demand sounds easy until you're doing elasticity calculations at 2am. Draw the graphs. Every single time. Your hands will remember what your brain forgets.
3. Statistics / Business Analytics — Everyone thinks they're bad at stats. You're not bad at it — you just need it explained without the textbook jargon. Focus on when to use each test, not the proofs.
4. Corporate Finance — NPV, IRR, WACC… it's alphabet soup. But once you understand time value of money, the rest is just variations on the same theme.
5. Macroeconomics — Fiscal policy, monetary policy, GDP models. The key is connecting current events to the theory — it makes everything stick.
I've been building clear, organized notes for all of these. No fluff, no textbook copy-paste — just the stuff that actually shows up on exams.
If you're tired of re-reading the same confusing chapter 4 times, BrainBank might save your semester.
