HeartBeat is the watchdog that keeps your NinjaTrader 8 automation alive while you're away.
If you run strategies unattended — especially on a VPS — a single dropped connection can quietly disable a strategy for hours. By the time you notice, you've missed entries, left positions unprotected, or blown an eval. HeartBeat makes sure that never happens.
It does three things, automatically:
Reconnects dropped broker connections and dead price feeds — capped, so you never risk a broker lockout.
Re-enables your strategies after a disconnect. NinjaTrader can't do this on its own. HeartBeat turns them back on and confirms it took.
Alerts you on Discord the moment something needs a human, with a screenshot of the state.
