After doing bridal mehandi for a while now, I keep seeing the same mistakes brides make when booking — so here's my honest take:
1. Book way earlier than you think.
Good artists get booked out months in advance during wedding season (Oct–Feb especially). If your wedding date is set, lock in your artist the same week you book your venue — not a month before.
2. Reference photos aren't enough — talk design placement first.
Everyone sends Pinterest photos. Few brides discuss where the design should be heaviest based on their outfit (full sleeves vs. sleeveless blouses changes everything). Have that conversation before the trial.
3. Always do a trial, even a small one.
Henna color develops differently on everyone's skin depending on diet, skin type, and even the season. A small trial patch 2-3 weeks out tells you the real color you'll get on the big day — no surprises.
