The strategy combines Heikin Ashi candle analysis, Supertrend direction filtering, ADX trend strength confirmation, and a Choppiness Index gate — all working in sequence. Every one of those layers must agree before a trade is taken.

BVL Trend Rider solves the Heikin Ashi backtesting trap that corrupts most HA-based strategies on TradingView. By calculating HA data internally while running on a standard candlestick chart, the Strategy Tester executes at real, executable market prices — not synthetic HA values. Your backtest actually reflects what would have happened live.

Exit logic is where edge is made
Primary exits use dynamic Heikin Ashi flips that let winning trades run as long as momentum holds — no arbitrary take-profit targets cutting you out of a 10x move. Parabolic SAR provides a secondary exit layer, and "The Plug" hard stop is always active as a catastrophic loss failsafe.
