The math behind every card decision (and why most players ignore it)
Every card game with a standard deck has a finite probability space. The dealer's upcard, your hand total, the cards already played — it's all calculable.
Basic strategy isn't a "system" or a hack. It's a decision matrix derived from millions of simulated hands. For every possible combination, there's a statistically correct action: hit, stand, double, or split. Most players go with gut feel. The math doesn't care about feelings.
Then there's card counting — specifically Hi-Lo. Assign +1 to low cards (2-6), 0 to neutral (7-9), -1 to high cards (10-A). Track the running count. Divide by decks remaining for the true count. That number tells you when the deck favors the player.
None of this is secret. It's published probability theory. The hard part was always doing the math fast enough in real time.
So we built a Chrome extension that does exactly that. It reads visible cards on screen, calculates instantly, and shows you the correct move via a floating overlay. No data leaves your device.
What it tracks:
Optimal action (HIT / STAND / DOUBLE / SPLIT)
Running count and true count (Hi-Lo)
Session stats: win rate, time, net balance
Responsible play alerts when you hit your limits
If you'd rather play with precision than guesswork, this was built for you. 7-day free trial on the monthly plan.
