CGB COT CHARTS
A weekly visual report built around the latest Commitments of Traders data
Every Monday, I post a new report that breaks down the latest COT positioning across the futures markets I follow. This includes equities, energies, metals, fixed income, currencies, softs, livestock, and grains.
COT data shows how different groups of traders are positioned in futures markets, including commercials, large speculators, and small speculators. I use this data to spot when positioning becomes stretched, when too many traders are leaning the same way, and when a market may be worth paying closer attention to.
Each market in the report includes two chart views.
The first is the general COT positioning chart. This gives the bigger picture and helps show whether current positioning is normal, stretched, or close to an extreme compared to history.
The second is the week-by-week positioning chart. This gives a cleaner look at the most recent change in positioning, showing how dramatic or tame the latest weekly move has been.
This product is designed for traders who want a simple, visual way to track futures positioning without digging through raw CFTC data themselves every week.
