The 5-Minute Checkout Audit That Gets Stalled Whops Past 30 Members

Most Whop sellers stall between 20-30 members because they never audit their checkout link — they just assume the product is the problem. It usually isn't.

Here's the 5-minute audit that finds the leak:

1. Open your checkout link in an incognito tab. If you can't tell what you get in the first 3 seconds without scrolling, your headline is the problem, not your price.

2. Count your plan options. More than 2 visible plans on a cold checkout link measurably increases decision paralysis. Hide everything except the one plan you want new members to pick.

3. Check your CTA button text. "Subscribe" and "Buy Now" convert worse than a specific action tied to the outcome (e.g. "Start My 7-Day Trial" or "Join the 100-Member Cohort"). Whop lets you set a custom CTA on the product — most sellers never touch it.

4. Look at your renewal price framing. If you're priced weekly, say the words "per week" directly in the description, not just in the checkout box — buyers scan for a number and hesitate when they have to do the math themselves.

5. Check if you have a trial. A 1-3 day free trial on a recurring plan removes almost all first-purchase hesitation and costs you nothing if your retention hook (chat, drops, community) is strong enough to convert them by day 2.

Fix these five things before you spend a single dollar on ads. Most creators trying to buy their way to 100 members are just pouring traffic into a leaking checkout link.
