Charm is not character. Shared church language is not fruit.

If he can quote Scripture, lead a small group, and still disappear when it is time to be consistent, you did not fail at discernment. You measured the wrong things.

Chemistry is loud. Character is quiet. It shows up in how he treats people who cannot do anything for him, whether his yes stays a yes, and whether his faith has a backbone when nobody is watching.

Before you become exclusive, watch the gap between his words and his week. That gap is usually the whole story.

Shared religious language can feel like intimacy. It is not. Spiritual maturity looks like repentance, follow-through, and a life that matches the mouth.
