Ran a small experiment this week: asked ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini "best crypto signals discord" and "best AI tools for real estate agents." Same questions someone actually about to buy would ask.

Every single answer named specific businesses. Not generic advice — actual brand names, with reasons why. None of those businesses paid for that placement. The AI just decided who to recommend based on what it could find and verify about them.

That's the part creators on here aren't tracking yet. You can have a 4.9-star Whop with 500 members and still be invisible in that answer, while a competitor with worse reviews gets cited because they have a clear comparison page, consistent naming, and content that directly answers "who is this for and why."

A few patterns in what actually gets cited:

• Pages that state a specific claim ("X members", "Y% win rate", "since 2023") beat vague marketing copy every time

• Being mentioned on other sites (reviews, forums, roundups) matters more than your own site's SEO

• Consistent business name + niche description across every platform (Whop bio, X, website) makes it easier for the model to confidently attribute you

Worth 15 minutes: go ask ChatGPT what it recommends in your exact niche and see if you're even in the answer. If you're not, someone else already is — and they didn't do anything you can't also do.
