The 3-Container Meal Prep That Changed How I Eat
I used to spend $400+/month on takeout because I "didn't have time to cook."
Then I learned the 3-container system and now I spend about 90 minutes every Sunday prepping my entire week. Here's the framework:
Container 1 — Protein Base
Pick ONE protein. Cook it all at once. Chicken thighs, ground turkey, or salmon. Season simply — salt, pepper, garlic powder. Done.
Container 2 — Carb Base
Rice, sweet potatoes, or pasta. Make a huge batch. This is your energy source for the week.
Container 3 — Veggie Mix
Roast a sheet pan of whatever's on sale. Broccoli, bell peppers, zucchini. Toss in olive oil, 400°F for 20 minutes.
Assembly: Mix and match across 5 containers. That's 5 lunches done in under 2 hours.
The key insight? You don't need recipes. You need a system. Recipes come later when you're comfortable.
I built CleanPlate Club to give complete beginners a dead-simple system like this every single week — with shopping lists, nutritional info, and a community of people figuring it out together.
If you've been wanting to start meal prepping but feel overwhelmed, this is for you.
