Freelancers don't have a skills problem. They have a send problem.

Most freelancers I talk to are good at the work. Design, copy, code — that's not why the calendar is empty.

The pipeline dies in three places:

  1. The first message sounds like a brochure. "I help businesses grow with high-quality [service]." Nobody replies to that. Lead with something you noticed about them, then one sentence on the outcome you ship.

  1. They send once and wait. One email is a lottery ticket. Two follow-ups is a system. Most yeses show up on the second or third touch, not the first.

  1. The proposal is a novel. One page: the problem you heard, the deliverable, the price, the start date. That's it.

If you already know how to do the work, stop collecting more tutorials. Write the message. Send it 20 times this week. Follow up twice.

That's the whole game.
